Time to Wake Up

We were anxiously awaiting for CatMom to get out of bed.
Seemed like she had been resting all day!

I guess her working in the catnip garden with Queen Bambi yesterday tired her out!

I, Timmy da Scallywag (previously da Timid), stands in doorway and repeetedly gave my best “it's time get up” yowls! But she just snuggled deeper into her pillow!

Why she do dat? She not appreesheeate my singing talents??? Bambi sez nope. She sez it cuz my singing voice is too squeeky. How cheeky of her to say that... even if she is the queen! But, methinks might be troo!

Buffy gets to go lie down on CatMom's bed all da time. In fact that exactly where Buffy is ALL da time. She never move! She just one big lump of cat fur. Usually she not move. But when we came in to check on mommy dis meowning, Buffy gave us da Evil Eye and Low Growl!

But da Queen, she not put off by da stare down! Bambi, she got real sneaky! She slinked under the bed, then stood on her toes and nudged CatMom's hand which was hanging there just waitin' for it. But, Buffy wasn't about ta let us wake her up. Buffy ran right across Mom’s belly to challenge Bambi. Thwomph! Thwomph! Thwomph!

So, Guess what happened next?

We were, ALL three of us, put out of the room and the door shut in our faces! How could CatMom do that to her precious furbabies? Later she got up and finally tried to give us attention. But you can have the satisfaction of knowing, we were having none of that!

Terror Under the Blankets

Bambi be clinging to Miss E all day. Last nite she crawl unnerneeth the cuvvers and snuggle down against Miss E's big warm body. Lucky Bambi! I wishes I could get meh nerve up ta do dat! But, I gets clawstrofobia. Dat what Ninja call it.

Bambi lyke ta spend a lotta time by herself. We always know to not bother her. But, we cants always tell when Bambi hiding unner da blankets. Den we walkin across da bed and accsidently walks rite ober her!

Dis morning Ninja was mindin him own business walkin cross da bed ta go get purry pets from Miss E and step on Queen Bambie tail. I fink it was her tail. She make growl. Ninja stop, look around. I watchin all dis and confuse with wonder. Why blanket made Bambi sound? So, I jump over der ta find out. BIG MISTAKE!!!

Da Bambi blanket let out one big scream and spittin and ebberyfing, and scare Ninja so much, he disappear. Poof! Jus lyke dat!

Then those cuvvers, dey all movin around. I fink dey wants ta play, so I attacks. Den, I know too late is Queen Bambi unner dere and she lyke a big exsploshun! She zip outside dose cuvvers and she let me have it!

Grumpy Cats

Everybody grumpy today. Queen Bambi grumpy. I grumpy. Miss E grumpy. Ninja most grumpy of all. It not my fault. Really, not me did it. I swares! We was running round da house same as uzual, having fun, Queen Bambi and me. Mr. grumpy Ninja was sleepin' by da bookshelp. We wasn't being quiet, but Ninja, he can sleep through ennyfing. Him always say him meditating, but I fink snoring not a mantra. Right? Is I right?

Ennyhow, I chase Bambi cross da back ov da sofa and she knock down all da pillows was up there, and one jump over and smack Ninja. Just then him look up, and me, I running cross da bookshelp and books fall down all beside Ninja, and he jump on top ov da books. Then Miss E come in da room and see Ninja and da mess ov books all over. She dint see me and Bambi cos by this time, we hiding unner da sofa. So Miss E fink Ninja knock down da books and tell him he a bad boy. And Ninja dont lyke that. Now him all grumpy.

Not my fault him sleeping right there by them books! Queen Bambi say we gots ta stay away from him coz he givving da Eebil Eye. Him look scarey when him grumpy don'tcha fink so?

Queen of England to Visit Queen Bambi?

I understand that the Queen of England is visiting locally. She will not be visiting with me, however, no matter how much she likes cats. (Does she? I wonder) I have not sent her an invitation to visit, as my schedule is quite full.

For example, today was particularly busy with an unwelcome visit from Mr. Mockingbird. What a pest he is. He so much wants to see me that he flies in from long distances to sit upon the tall tree in our south eastern corner.  He is so persistent that he cannot keep a respectable distance and swoops down to the top of the gazebo!

Of course I watch him diligently from the window whilst pretending not to take notice of him in the slightest. After all, I sent the message I sha'n't give him audience!

I wish Ninja would shoo him away. But, alas, Ninja spends more time meditating these days and less time practicing his martial arts skills. He still teaches Spyder, but not so much by example as previously.

Needless to say, I have my own techniques which I have developed from my wild days before I came into my proper royal status, I find my methods quite useful on occasion, in order to carry out my duties and keep my subjects in line.

As I sat keeping an eye upon that pesky Mr. Mockingbird, he had the audacity, to dive down from the gazebo. Then, immediately. he swirled around the apricot tree right in front of the window!

I know he did that to provoke me. He certainly was asking for it!

So I leaped upon him with all my force and intent. He is fortunate indeed that I did not get my paws upon him! I had fiercely flung my body directly onto the window screen and no matter how I shook it, it did not budge! I could tell Miss E was a bit disturbed by this as she came in and closed the window.

Flower Cats

We has flowers! We has flowers outside in da garden, lots of dem. We smell dem ebery day. We see all diffrunt kinds from all our windows and doors. But, now we gots flowers inside da house, too!!

 Dis is a berry speshul week for flowers. Mr. X brought big long red ones to Miss E yestaday. She say, "oooh, Roses!" She so happy! Dey is purrty, but dey is tall and dey is not good for sniffing cos dey is too tall.


It's more easy to sniff da ones dat Miss E cut from da garden and brought into da house. She puts dem on da kitchun table.

Da last time der was any thing like dis in da house, I gots in trubble cos I eated dem. And I did it ebery chance I got. So, Miss E putted da ad in da freecycle and gaves dem all away. Some lady and man came ta gets dem. Dey was berry happy.

And I was berry sad, cos I liked to eated da plants. But, now I am big kitty mancat. So I wonts eated no more plants. I be a good kitty. Just sniffey dem.

Everyfing was so intresting. Three differunt kinds of flowers Miss E brought in. Bambi say dey was Peruvian Lilies and da other was sumpin she don't know. But, da best one I lyke da best was da one called Lemon Flower. It smell soooo goood! Bambi say dat one from da tree out front dat makes da lemons. I remember lemons from dat time we played wid dem in the kitchun floor. Lemon flower smell so good.I reely lykes dem berry mucho! I just sniff and sniff all around.

Bambi and me, we investa gate dem flowers. Ninja no was dere, cos him was takin' nap. But, Bambi, she did sumpin' bad. Bambi not just sniffin. Bambi started eaten da flower. Miss E, she havta take away flowers. Now dey way up high on bookcase.

Her Bed

This is Jeffery when he first came to live with us. Keli had just discovered he was on "her" bed.

Even though he had been in the house and kept in another room for days enough for her to get used to him and they'd already met face to face, I think she wasn't expecting him to be on "her" bed.

I know she looks like she is about to attack, but all she did was sneak up behind him and sniff before they both scared each other right off the bed.

Vet Visit

Took cats to the vet today.

They were surprised to learn that Magic has taken over mothering duties. He jumps into the box with the kittens the minute Gypsy leaves it. He washes them and nuzzles them. And, would you believe? He lets them nurse upon his nipples!

Well, he is the Papa after all!
